In describing the Sukkot holiday celebrations that took place in the Temple, the Talmud says that whoever did not witness the joyous festivities then has never truly witnessed joy. There was a similar feeling this year at KKL-JNF's traditional olive harvesting event at Tel Hadid in Israel's central region.

Over 2,500 visitors filled the olive groves and the sound of happy children could be heard everywhere. KKL-JNF's Edna Feinstein, who was responsible for the stellar organization of this holiday activity, among others, explained: "I think the huge success of today's event is a combination of more and more people being aware of KKL-JNF activities, along with the fact that the trees are really full of olives this year, as they are every other year."
