Joint Fire Prevention Workshop for KKL-JNF and Palestinian Foresters
As part of the nationwide plan for dealing with forest fires, KKL-JNF has initiated a first time collaboration with Palestinian foresters. This initiative aims to formulate joint forest fire protocols in the areas where the fire spreads from one side of the Green Line to the other.

As a first step to the plan's implementation, KKL-JNF firefighters and foresters from the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Agriculture recently attended a workshop entitled "Evaluations and firefighting when fires break out".

The aim of the workshop was to train foresters and firefighters to work together to deal with the many fires that break out over the Summer months, particularly the fires which spread over shared forests, woodlands and open spaces from either side of the Green Line.

The workshop was attended by 35 people. A large number of the attendees were employees of the PA Ministry of Agriculture, including district directors, foresters working in the regions of Judea and Samaria, and firefighters.

The workshop is part of a series of ongoing activities aimed at fostering collaboration in the region, to ensure the protection of the shared environment for the benefit of the general public.
