The Yinon Recreation Area in Tzora Forest is dedicated to the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Yinon Itzhaki, formerly Commander of Israel’s National Firefighting and Rescue School, who died at the age of 55 in a road accident some two years ago while on his way home to Kiryat Arba. The recreation area was established with the help of funds donated by JNF USA. The ceremony held on Monday, May 19th, was attended by some three hundred people including family members, friends, firefighters and KKL-JNF representatives from Israel and the United States.
