German City Inaugurates Landau Forest in the Negev

“I had dreamed about this for many years, but I didn’t think it would actually come true.”

A group of donors and representatives from the German city of Landau dedicate the Landau Forest in the Negev, which will form part of the German State's Forest. The ceremony, which took place on October 30th, was the fulfillment of a dream of Pastor Gerhard Heinzmann, who first thought of the idea of a forest from the city of Landau when he visited Yad VaShem in Israel, in 1967.
